I’m glad that you found my site.  When I first started to do research on buying trundle beds is because our family has a cabin by the lake and, I was disappointed in what was available for sleeping arrangements that I found in stores.The hardest was finding a better way to buy what was needed and also not much about what to buy was being made known.  This was a while ago, but I thought I would put all the benefits we have found having trundle beds for adults at our family cabin of only 1200 sq. ft. 

We have two large rooms on the first floor.  They consist of the kitchen with a bar area, and leading to a very large living area with a fireplace.  We usually have at least eight adults up on the weekends, along with four children.  The cousins love to get together on long weekends, just hanging out and having fun.  We go boating and waterskiing during the days.  Sometimes someone catches some fish for us to eat at night.  It was all a lot of fun, until nighttime and every one wanted to get a good night’s sleep.What we were doing when the whole family visited is told here.  We would be sleeping on blow-up camping mattresses downstairs and sleeping bags upstairs in the two bedrooms, while the two queen beds in the bedrooms were occupied by my elderly parents and my husband’s parents.  In other words, we needed to rectify the sleeping situation.

Since we didn’t have much room for more beds, what we decided to do was to buy four sets of trundle beds.  Most trundle beds roll right under another bed, making them lower to the ground than a standard bed, but still as comfortable as a traditional bed.  We bought two that just slide under the upper bed/couch.  These are the ones that we put in the bedrooms upstairs and left the queen beds for sleeping, too.  The other two that we chose are the kind that pop up to standard height of the other bed, making it a king size width.  They actually can be secured together so they won’t be sliding apart.  Anything would have been better than what we were doing!Extra benefit of making our decision to buy the trundles was the ease of set-up and delivery.

The other adults are comfortably set for sleeping in the beds up stairs.  We put one set of the trundle beds in each of the bedrooms also.  So four people can sleep comfortably in each bedroom and four people sleep downstairs in each of the trundle beds.

When I first needed to get better sleeping conditions up at the cabin, my first thought was that they don’t make trundle beds for adults.  Gosh, was I wrong!  I had always just seen trundle beds in kids’ rooms.  I have to say that they are really comfortable, even for my cousin’s husband who is quite large.  He sleeps great at night.

We have fixed our dilemma about sleeping up at the cabin with our trundle beds for adults.  I forgot to mention, that even our teens sleep comfortably.  Yes, they can still sleep until noon even in a trundle bed!

So if you need more sleeping room for your family, whether it is just at your home or a vacation home, don’t forget that trundle beds for adults are comfortable, practical and a sleeping blessing for large family gatherings.The other benefit is there is enough places to sit during the afternoons, because they are also couches.Troubles with sleeping are solved.
