Sencha tea is one of Japan’s very much in demand beverages. First brought to the fore by the Chinese, Sencha teas are bunches of full leaves that are not roasted but instead, steamed. That causes the tea leaves not to become oxidized. Following steaming, the leaves are then dried. Once dry, those leaves are preserved by putting it in fire. This procedure provides an additional boost to the taste of the tea.
